Story & Challenges

Let Music Teach!

Music can achieve more goals where other methods have failed.  Music has been taken out of many schools. This creates a deficit in learning, especially for those who need it the most.

We learn through music! Our ABC's, history, grammar ... anything. Why not give more of those repeatable resources to our children?  They are our future and it is their creativity and knowledge that will take us to the future.

The Melody the Monkey series will teach children anything from music, history, how to deal with mental health, science, geography and more!  It is like Sesame Street meets the old School House Rock, but with consistent adorable characters that welcome children and teach everything through music.

The more ways a person learns something, the more they will remember.  There are stroke victims that can't talk, but can sing.  People with Parkinson may not remember simple everyday things, but still can communicate through music.  It has been studied and found that those who take music lessons have advanced brain development and better memories.  Why not give the children this life-long ability to learn?

The workshop is raising funds to get more books published on many subjects as well as covering expensed for live in-person and virtual music workshops to help educate children through music.  It is an investment in the future!

Books will be covering many subjects such as music, letters, opposites, math, science, mental health, the presidents of the USA, how to learn a parents phone number and much more.  Money is needed to fund the publication and illustration of these books as well as costs for live-in person and virtual workshops, so that the workshop can get them to the kids and their caregivers and teachers.

Please help me Let Music Teach and Change the World Through Music!

About the Workshop and Why Music

Melody the Monkey’s Workshop was started in order to reach children and others with a musical source to learn.  Everything is taught through music. Whether it is reading, math, science, history, music and more.

The workshop’s mission is that it empowers all children including the underprivileged, very young and special needs to learn through music by giving them even more educational tools for life-long learning.

Its vision is to become the global leader in giving a larger voice and more educational tools to inspire more creativity and learning experiences in children.

This is being accomplished through live readings and workshops for all both in live venues and virtually. It takes two familiar ideas and merges them into a new and innovative way of learning. It is kind of like“Sesame Street” meets the original “School of Rock”. There are adorable characters that welcome children and they learn through music.

Music has been taken away from so many children with its removal from school programs.

Music is vital to the development and continued growth of society. Even in olden times history was passed on by minstrels and bards. Most teach children the alphabet through song. Many remember the phone number from the song “Jenny” from the 80’s because it was done through music. Billy Joel even joined into using music to teach when he wrote the song “We Didn’t Start the Fire” about history. There is so much research on how music can help individuals learn. There are even cases of stroke victims who can’t speak, but can sing! Teachers all over the United States are trying to come up with their own songs and platforms to teach in the school systems. Music is a resource that all can use to learn and retain throughout life.

Music can be experienced by everyone in some way in spite of their age, developmental level and capabilities. They just have to be given the music.

The goal of Melody the Monkey’s Workshop is to reach all children whether it be in their own neighborhoods or virtually with materials that will inspire them to create and use music as educational tools and to provide them with repeatable resources that have already been established.
